The Double Fine Adventure fund-raising effort is an unstoppable juggernaut.
While American studio Double Fine set a modest target of US$400,000 in pledges before committing to developing the game, and green-lit it upon raising a million, the money keeps on rolling in. The Double Fine Adventure Kickstarter page has now raised over one and a half million dollars, with no end in sight.
So far over 40,000 Double Fine fans have pledged to support this grass-roots development effort, and the Kickstarter fund-raising operation still has a month left on the clock.
